A chance planting in 1986 on a steep hillside in a small valley in Monterey County was their beginning. Now winemaker Russell Joyce who grew up working amongst the vines at the family’s small estate has followed his passion relentlessly pursuing unique vineyard sites throughout Monterey County. Their focus is to produce honest, transparent wine that showcases the natural tension and energy which comes from Monterey’s coastal climate.
