RN Estate

Share a former restaurateur’s dream of creating an exceptional “food friendly” wine. RN Estates specializes in red Rhone Bordeaux varietals, estate-grown on their small hilltop vineyard. Their limited production of less than one thousand cases allows them to meticulously hand craft premium boutique wines with a subtle harmony of flavors. Located in the Paso Robles A.V.A. six miles north of Paso Robles on River Road, their hilltop vineyard is situated in a notch high on the west ridge of the Estrella River valley. This valley provides great cooling evening winds. The red Rhone and Bordeaux varietals are grown on well drained slopes of sandy clay loams with traces of limestone and river rocks. At RN Estate the winemaking starts in the vineyard. As soon as planted each vine is carefully trained to bear fruit with the ideal exposure to sun, light and wind. They hand harvest, making several passes picking only the perfectly ripened berries. At the winery, finishing touches are applied through aging wines in a selected variety of European and American oak barrels. Ther goal is to handcraft a wine with a balance of flavors that are in harmony.
