Victor Hugo Winery

Victor Hugo Vineyards and Winery is one of Paso Robles’ most exciting and innovative wineries. Victor Hugo Roberts is the winemaker and co-owner along with his wife Leslie of the small family operated vineyard and winery. In 1985 they began planting grapes on the shaly hillsides in Templeton. With subsequent planting the vineyards now total over 75 acres including Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Syrah, 5 Bordeaux reds, and Viognier. Meticulous care of the vineyard includes vertical shoot positioning, shoot thinning, cluster thinning, and leaf pulling. Victor Hugo specializes in small hand crafted lots of wine with intense colors and flavors.
