Putting to use the empirical knowledge he has gained from making wine from his Sans Liege and The Fableist Projects, winemaker Curt Schalchlin seeks to bring his experience to a new set of wines that embrace the soul and simple living of the Rhône Groundwork is built upon Curt’s comfort and confidence as a winemaker, instructing him to trust in the fruit, the vineyards, and his own rich experience as guides.

There is everything to love about these value priced releases from Curt. He gets some great fruit from throughout the central coast, often vineyard designating the wines.   as well as being true to place the resulting wines are forward, textured, character-filled expressions ideal for near term drinking.
